Managing Channel Command access as an MSP

As a Managed Service Provider (MSP), you have the authority to request and manage access to vendors' Channel Command (PRM) portals.

Access Request and Management

  • Request Access: Begin by requesting access to the vendor's Channel Command portal. This involves initiating a formal request process with the vendor.
  • Control Over Access: As an MSP, you retain control over whether access to the portal should be maintained or revoked.
  • Reasons for Removal: The primary reason for revoking access is typically the dissolution of the partnership between your organization and the vendor.

How to remove access

Be certain that you want to remove access as this will remove access for your entire organization not just yourself. Removing access from a portal cannot be undone.

  1. From the side navigation click NaviStack.
  2. Click Vendor Portals.
  3. In the list of vendors, locate the one you’d like to administer. Click the 3-dot menu, click Remove Access.
  4. Confirm the removal.
  5. Click Remove.

Important Considerations

  • Impact on Entire Organization: Removing access affects the entire organization, not just individual users. Ensure this action is necessary before proceeding.
  • Irreversible Action: Once access is removed, it cannot be reversed. Exercise caution during the removal process.

In case access needs to be reinstated in the future. You'll need to submit a fresh access request to the vendor.

By adhering to these guidelines, you can effectively manage access to vendors' Channel Command portals, ensuring compliance and security within your organization's partnerships.
