About integrating with Channel Program

NOTICE: Integrations are currently available only for MSPs subscribed to MyITSpend. To learn more about MyITSpend, click here.

Integrating systems with Channel Program is a time saver. Managing data across multiple locations or systems can be frustrating and time-consuming, especially when dealing with different data formats.

Integration with Channel Program allows you to streamline this process, reducing the need to re-enter the same data into multiple systems. Setting up an external tool integration with Channel Program saves you time by automatically syncing data from existing external tools, such as a PSA or CRM, into Channel Program.

Integration FAQs

Is integrating with Channel Program mandatory?

No, integrating with external tools is entirely optional. If you don't see the value in integrating now, the option is always available should you change your mind in the future.

Is there a risk of duplicated data?

Not typically, but it depends on your current data setup.

No, if the profiles haven't already added data that might sync. The integration uses unique identifiers to ensure that data from external tools is not duplicated.

However, there is a possibility of duplication if matching records already exist without an integration key. In such cases, duplicates could be created. If this occurs, please contact support for assistance with data cleanup.

What external tools does Channel Program integrate with?

For a complete list of available integrations and their features, refer to Available Integrations.

Are the integrations setup as a one-way or two-way sync?

Currently, all integrations are set up as a one-way sync, meaning data syncs from the external tool into Channel Program. Changes made in Channel Program on synced data will not sync back. While two-way syncs may be available in the future, the current setup supports one-way sync only.

What is the refresh frequency?

The first time the integration is configured, there will be an initial full sync. After that, the integration will check every three hours for changes or new details to sync over to Channel Program. This schedule helps ensure we do not exceed your integration's API call limit.

What happens if I want to terminate the connection?

Terminating the integration is easy. Follow the steps under How to manage integrations for detailed instructions on stopping or uninstalling an integration.

Can I customize the integration to fit my specific needs?

Yes, integrations into Channel Program are designed to retrieve and populate specific sets of data. Each integration offers different options where appropriate, such as syncing customer data, customer contracts/agreements, or both.

What data can be synced through the integration?

The specific data available for syncing varies by integration. For detailed information, refer to Available Integrations.

Can I integrate multiple external tools simultaneously?

Absolutely! You can set up connections for all available integrations to suit your company's needs. There is no limit to the number of integrations you can have configured simultaneously.

The only restriction is that you’re allowed only one connection per integration type.
