The basics for using the rich-text editor (RTE)

Our application features two text editors: a plain text editor without formatting options, and a rich-text editor with various formatting tools.

Rich-Text Editor locations

The rich-text editor can be found in the following locations, each potentially offering a different toolbar setup:

  • Company and User Profiles: About Description
  • Distributor Marketplace: Line Card Vendor Description
  • Content Uploads (Profiles or Channel Command): Blog Post and Videos only
  • Channel Command: Mass Messaging & Announcements

Available Toolbar

All locations mentioned above will have the following toolbar options:

RTE_1

Text Formatting: Allows you to select the text style, such as normal text, headers, subscript, superscript, or clear formatting.

Font Styles: Includes options for bold, italics, underline, or strikethrough. These can also be set via shortcut keys (e.g., COMMAND+B | ALT+B).

Emoticons: Click to open the emoticon picker. You can also type the emoticon code if you know the shortcut keys.
