How do I manage the events calendar?

Have an event you’d like to advertise to the Channel community? Adding an event will post it to Channel Program’s Industry Calendar for all to see.

Once the event is submitted, it will be reviewed by a member of the Channel Program team. Once reviewed they will publish the event, upon approval of course.

Adding events, can only be completed a company (Vendor) profile admin.

How to add an event

Information you'll need to add the event:

  • Event name > Every event should have a unique name.
  • Description > Briefly describe the events purpose or focus.
  • Time Zone > If applicable, the time zone based on the events location.
  • Start/End date and time > Dates and times that matches the event.
  • Event URL > A link where participants can learn more about and register for the event.
  • Image > An image that will grab members attention.

Now that you have all the detail you need, let's go ahead and add the new event.

  1. From the side navigation click Events.
  2. Click Manage Events.
  3. Click Add Events.

  4. Enter the events name.
  5. Optionally, but highly recommended. Enter a brief description for the event.
  6. Select the event type that matches the event.

  7. Optionally. Select a time zone that best matches the events location. Otherwise leave it set to the default time zone shown.
  8. Enter a start date and time. Type in the fields presented or click the calendar icon to select the date and time.

  9. Enter an end date and time.
  10. Paste or enter in the event URL.
  11.  Optionally, but highly recommended. Upload an image for the event.
    1. Click Browse from your device.
    2. Browse to the location the image is stored and select it.
  12. Click Create event.

Following the review by the Channel Program team, the status will be updated. If approved, the event will show under the Industry Calendar for the specified month and day.

If your event shows as Rejected, please reach out and we’ll work with you to update the event details for it to be approved.

How to edit an event

Be aware that events that have been rejected cannot be edited. You’ll need to reach out and we’ll work with you to update the event details.

  1. From the side navigation click Events.
  2. Click Manage Events.
  3. In the list of events, find the one you want to edit.
  4. Click the Edit Event (EventsCalendar_7) button at the beginning of the row.
  5. Make the edits you want.
  6. Click Update event.

How to archive an event

Be aware that events that have been rejected cannot be edited. You’ll need to reach out and we’ll work with you to update the event details.

  1. From the side navigation click Events.
  2. Click Manage Events.
  3. In the list of events, find the one you want to edit.
  4. Click the Archive Event (EventsCalendar_8) button at the beginning of the row.

To unarchive an archived event, please let us know and we’ll help you with that. Or you can duplicate the event to start over.

How to duplicate an event

Duplicating an event will not include the original events description, start/end dates & times, or image.

  1. From the side navigation click Events.
  2. Click Manage Events.
  3. In the list of events, find the one you want to duplicate.
  4. Click the Duplicate Event (EventsCalendar_9) button at the beginning of the row.
  5. Make the edits you want.
  6. Click Create event.
