Managing Channel Deals

Managing channel deals with Channel Program is simple and efficient. This guide will walk you through the key processes: creating, editing, and deactivating deals.

Adding a Deal

To add a deal, you need to provide the following information:

  • Deal Name: Choose a meaningful name for the deal. This name will appear in emails and communications.
  • Expiry Date: (Optional) Specify an expiry date if the deal has a deadline for partners or prospects to request it.
  • Deal Categorization: Every deal must have at least one category.
  • Offer Details: Describe the offer in 750 characters or less.
  • Other Considerations: (Optional) Include any additional information relevant to the deal.
  • Notification Emails: List the email addresses of team members who should receive notifications about the deal.

Note: After submission, the deal will undergo review by a Channel Program team member. Once approved, it will be posted.

  1. From the side navigation click to expand Company Profile.
  2. Select Channel Deals.
  3. Click Add
  4. Fill in the required fields:
    1. Deal Name: Enter a name that is easy to recognize.
    2. Expiry Date (optional): Set the cutoff date if applicable. The expiry will occur at the end of the selected date.
    3. Category: Select the main category for the deal. Optionally, choose a related subcategory.
    4. Offer Details: Provide a concise description of the deal.
    5. Other Considerations (optional): Add any additional notes.
    6. Notification Emails: Enter the email addresses of team members for notifications.
  5. Once all detail has been entered, click Save & Submit.

If you accidentally submitted the deal and need to withdraw it:

  1. From the Actions menu next to the pending deal, click Delete.
  2. Confirm the deletion by clicking Delete again.

Viewing a Deal

Viewing a deal allows you to review its details, including its history.

  1. From the side navigation click to expand Company Profile.
  2. Select Channel Deals.
  3. Click the name of the deal you want to view.
  4. To view the history details, click the History
  5. When finished, click Close.

Editing a Deal

Keeping deal details accurate is essential. Note that editing the deal description will reset its status to Pending and send it for re-approval by the Channel Program administrators.

  1. From the side navigation click to expand Company Profile.
  2. Select Channel Deals.
  3. Click the deal name for the deal you’d like to view.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Make the necessary changes.
  6. Click Save to submit the updated deal.

Deactivating a Deal

If a deal is no longer available, you can deactivate it. Deactivated deals are removed from visibility but can be reactivated later.

  1. From the side navigation click to expand Company Profile.
  2. Select Channel Deals.
  3. Click the name of the deal you wish to deactivate.
  4. Click Deactivate.
  5. Confirm the deactivation by clicking Deactivate

Note: Deactivated deals appear as Inactive and can be reactivated by editing their details.
