Managing Channel Command content

If you've uploaded content to your company profile before enabling Channel Command, all public content will automatically be copied to your portal and made visible by default. However, any updates to public content in the portal will only be reflected in the portal.

There are five different types of content you can manage within Channel Command (PRM):

  1. Brandable Content: Templates that partners can modify by adding images for their own use.
  2. Vendor Documentation: Marketing, sales, or training material shared with partners.
  3. Vendor Assets: Company images shared with partners.
  4. Blog Posts: Write a blog post or news article.
  5. Videos: Share marketing, demo, or training videos with partners.

Note: Brandable Content and Vendor Documentation are treated as separate document types. For materials you want partners to brand and download, upload the file as both brandable content and vendor documentation.

Below are steps to manage Channel Command (PRM) content. Note that the process remains the same for each content type.

How to add new content

Adding content makes it immediately available to your partners. Before uploading Brandable Content or Vendor Documentation files (e.g., XLS or XLSX), it's recommended to set the appropriate page layout and page breaks to maintain formatting.

  1. From the side navigation click Channel Command.
  2. Click Manage Channel Portal.
  3. Click View Portal.
  4. Click Add New and select the content to add.
  5. A window will appear for adding the content. It's recommended to include a thumbnail image.
    1. For Vendor Assets, you can upload a single image or up to nine images at once to create a gallery.
  6. Fill out the form, and when completed click Upload or Save.

How to modify content

Here we'll focus on showing, hiding, or pinning content. For editing or deleting content, refer to How to edit, or delete Channel Command content?

  • Public content appears under your company profile and Channel Command portal.
  • Private content only appears under your Channel Command portal.

How to make content visible (shown)

Once added, your partners will be able to see the shared item. The tag in the top of the card view will change from Hidden > Visible.

  1. Scroll down to the appropriate content section.
  2. Locate the item by scrolling through the section carousel or clicking See All to view all items.
  3. Clicking the 3-dots click Show.

How to make content invisible (hidden)

Once hidden, your partners will no longer see the shared item under Channel Command (PRM). The tag in the top of the card view will change from Visible > Hidden.

  1. Scroll down to the appropriate content section.
  2. Locate the item by scrolling through the section carousel or clicking See All to view all items.
  3. Clicking the 3-dots click Hide.

How to pin content

Pinning highlights a piece of content on your Channel Command portal. This is useful for showcasing important content to partners. Only one item per type can be pinned at a time.

  1. Scroll down to the appropriate content section.
  2. Locate the item by scrolling through the section carousel or clicking See All to view all items. 
  3. Clicking the 3-dots click Pin.

To unpin content, first select a new item to be pinned.
