Guide to different Vendor company types

As a vendor, understanding your company type can help streamline your engagement with Channel Program.

Currently, there are nine (9) identified vendor types, each with unique characteristics and access to features within the application. Each vendor type has access to the same features and functions, except for Distributors, who have unique features tailored to their specific profiles.

Available Vendor types

  1. Vendor: Companies that offer products or services directly to end customers.
  2. Technology Solutions Broker: Entities that connect vendors with customers, acting as intermediaries in technology procurement.
  3. Distributor: Organizations that purchase products from vendors and resell them to retailers or other businesses.
  4. Professional Services or Consultant: Companies offering specialized expertise or services to assist clients in various aspects of their business operations.
  5. Conferences and Events: Entities organizing industry gatherings, conferences, or events aimed at networking and knowledge sharing.
  6. Media Group or Personality: Individuals or organizations engaged in media production, such as blogs, podcasts, or video channels, focusing on technology or related topics.
  7. Peer Group: Communities or networks of professionals within a particular industry or field, facilitating collaboration and knowledge exchange.
  8. Finance or Technology Investor: Individuals or firms providing financial backing or investment in technology ventures.
  9. Other: Any vendor type not covered by the above categories.
