Guide to bulk upload content on Channel Command

Adding content to your Channel Command portal can be done in three ways:

  1. Add New: Add one piece of content at a time.
  2. Upload a Folder: Upload a folder containing multiple pieces of content, creating a new folder in the portal.
  3. Bulk Upload: Upload multiple files of various types simultaneously.

Bulk upload types

Bulk uploads, whether by selecting a folder or multiple files, are limited to the following content types:

  • Vendor Documentation
  • Vendor Assets (Images)
  • Videos

Note: Brandable Content and Blogs cannot be bulk uploaded at this time.

Accepted File Types:

  • Documents: CSV, DOC, DOCX, KEY, ODP, PDF, PPT, PPTX, RTF, XLS, XLSX, TXT
  • Images: GIF, JPEG, JPG, PNG, SVG, WebP
  • Videos: MP4, MOV, WebM

Important: Uploading ZIP files is prohibited.

How to upload a folder

If the folder contains unsupported files, you will be notified before the upload begins.

  1. From the side navigation, click Channel Command.
  2. Click Manage Channel Portal.
  3. Click View Portal.
  4. Click Add New.
  5. Click Upload a Folder.
  6. Click Browse from your device.
  7. Navigate to the folder location, select it, and click Upload.
  8. When prompted by the browser, click Upload.
    1. To clear the selection and start over, click Clear All Files.
  9. (Optional) Click the edit pencil icon to rename the folder.
  10. (Optional) Click the chevron to expand the folder and review its contents.
  11. (Optional) Click the edit pencil icon to rename a file.
  12. (Optional) Click the trashcan icon to remove a file from the upload.
  13. Once the folder and files are set, click Upload.

How to bulk upload files

  1. From the side navigation, click Channel Command.
  2. Click Manage Channel Portal.
  3. Click View Portal.
  4. Click Add New.
  5. Click Bulk Upload.
  6. Click Browse from your device.
  7. Navigate to the file locations, select each file, and click Upload.
    1. To clear the selection and start over, click Clear All Files.
  8. (Optional) Click the edit pencil icon to rename a file.
  9. (Optional) Click the trashcan icon to remove a file from the upload.
  10. Once the files are set, click Upload.

Monitor upload progress

After clicking Upload, the progress will appear in a drawer at the bottom of your browser. Click the chevron to expand the upload progress. This is your last chance to stop a file from being uploaded.

Note: Do not close the browser tab or window during the upload. Closing it will stop the upload. Wait until the bottom drawer shows 100% complete, indicating that the files are being processed for upload. Once complete, you can safely close the window.

Managing uploaded content

Once the content has been uploaded, you can manage its details just like any other content. However, note that editing bulk-uploaded content may require you to add missing details such as:

  • Thumbnail
  • Description
  • Category
  • Subcategory
  • Tags
