Can I chat with my MSP partners?

 This feature is available exclusively for Vendor company profiles with Channel Command enabled. 

Yes, you can!

To initiate a chat with your partners, they must have been invited to and accepted your Channel Command (PRM) portal.

Note: Initially, only profile admins can chat with Service Provider (MSP) partners.

How to start a chat

  1. From the side navigation click Channel Command.
  2. Click Manage Channel Portal.
  3. From Your Network, locate the partner you wish to chat with or use the search option.
  4. Click the Chat button next to the partner. If there are multiple users associated with the partner profile, select the desired user for the chat.
  5. Compose your message in the window.
  6. Click Send when your message is ready to be sent.

Notification Protocol

  • If any user is online when you initiate the message, they'll receive an instant notification.
  • If any user is offline, they'll receive an email notification informing them of the missed message.

How to respond to a chat

Your connected Service Provider (MSP) can initiate a chat request. Here's what happens when one comes in: 

  1. If you’re offline, you’ll receive an email information you of new chat requests.
  2. When logged in to Channel Program.
    1. An alert will appear in the bell icon on the top navigation bar. Click the notification to view the message. VendorChat_3
    1. A new chat bubble will appear on the Manage My Channel Portal page. Click the bubble to open the chat.

    2. In the list of partners on the Manage My Channel Portal, a red flashing dot indicates chats awaiting response. Click the chat icon to open the chat.
