About Product Categories and StackCharts

When a vendor adds a new product (or service) to their profile they must associate that product with a category – subcategory combination.

Why categorize a product? Well, it is a great way to group all products of the same category together and to see how they stack up against each other.

How to access

Are you signed out? From the top navigation click Research > Explore Vendors on StackCharts

StackCharts

Channel Program’s StackCharts are a great way to see how vendors’ products stack up against other vendors in the same product category. Or even their own products in the same category.

Not all categories or subcategories have StackCharts available, but you can still see products in the selected category or subcategory. For the categories or subcategories that do have StackCharts available, you’ll see a discreet icon (StackChart) next to the label.

With StackCharts you’ll see a chart that shows where the vendor products are stacked against each other. The chart is split into 4 quadrants – High Potential, Chart Toppers, Challengers, and Niche

Below the chart, you’ll see more details about the products, for those that appeared in the chart and those that haven’t been ranked yet.

For more information about using StackCharts, refer to Channel Program StackCharts.
